History and Culture

With profound historical and cultural heritage, Buddhist activities in Nanshan date back to the Tang Dynasty. In 1999, Nanshan Group began large-scale development, perfectly combining traditional culture with modern tourism. The Nanshan Great Buddha, built in 2004, stands 38.66 meters tall and weighs 380 tons - the world's first tin-bronze sitting Buddha.

Nanshan Temple has a long history dating to Tang Zhenguan period. After multiple renovations and expansions, it's now an important Buddhist site in Jiaodong region, preserving numerous precious Buddhist relics and historical texts.

The Chinese History and Culture Park, themed "Five Thousand Years of Civilization", vividly presents China's historical and cultural essence through architecture, sculptures, and performances.
