Located in Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Hailuogou Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist attraction famous for its low-altitude modern glaciers, giant ice waterfalls and snow mountain hot springs, known as the "Glacier Forest Park".

Overview

Geographical Features

Covers an area of 906 square kilometers, with glacier tongues extending 6km into primeval forests at just 2,850m above sea level.

Home to the world's lowest-altitude modern maritime glaciers at this latitude, featuring unique glacier-forest coexistence landscapes.

Name Origin

Named after its conch-shaped glacial landforms, called "Daquga" in Tibetan meaning "white glacier".

Designated as a national 5A-level tourist attraction in 2017.
